It is so important to understand that honoring God with our bodies begins by honoring him in our minds. Therefore honor God with your bodies ( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You are not your own you were bought at a price. We have been bought by God with the precious blood of his Son, Jesus. You’ve heard the increasingly popular statement, “My body, my choice.” That is not true. As Christians, our bodies are meant for the Lord and not for sexual immorality (v 13). Set Apart to Serve Godġ Corinthians 6 points to several reasons that God requires us to be pure:ġ. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God ! And that is what we are! ( 1 John 3:1). So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith… ( Galatians 3:26). Note that the above passage tells us that, as his children, we were chosen “to be holy and blameless in his sight.” It makes sense that the children of God would be called to be like their Father. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. We are better than servants, we are heirs to the kingdom. As believers, we are set apart from the rest of the world and declared his children by adoption. God! The God of the universe, the King of kings. China is also more fragile and can break easily. Similarly, the pattern on fancy china would wear and dim with everyday use. Why not? They would get dirty and lose their unique function. You wouldn’t wash the car with the guest towels. They are reserved or set apart for special purposes or occasions. You get it: while some things in life are for common, everyday use, other things we possess are given more honor.
